Our Screening Process
Application
Candidates fill out an application. We evaluate candidates on dozens of criteria which include: Experience and education, Passion for caring for children, Legal Issues, Communication skills.
Interview
Having selected some candidates with the best applications, we contact them and set up an offline interview with our managers in Smart Sitter office.
References
After a successful interview, we ask for at least 2 childcare-related references. We keep the right to show our clients the transcripts of these conversations.
Background Check
Selected candidates undergo a Social Security Verification, Criminal Background Check and Sex Offender check, the result of which we show our clients. We care about our and your reputation.
Communication
Written and verbal communication are extremely important for being a nanny or a babysitter. We evaluate your soft skills to make sure you are the best match for our clients.
Placement Evaluation
We strive to get acquainted with our nannies and babysitters not only as with professionals but also as with unique personalities. Then we invite you to our office again to have a chat about you.
Requirements
- At least 2 brilliant references from recent child care-related positions.
- Be legal to work in the US. Unfortunately O-1 visas are not enough
- Perfect communication skills.
- Proven absence of serious deseases.
- No bad habits.
- At least 2 years of pedagogical experience and a strong educational background.
- Ready to sign a contract with a family for at least 6 months.
- Creativity and problem solving.
- Demonstrate a passion for caring for children of any age.
